☄ First Impressions

♚ VISUAL: Long black hair with fringe that falls in front of her face, bright blue eyes, usually a smear of red warpaint across her nose and cheekbones. (Mid-ShB onward, gold flecks in her eyes and striations in her nails, white streaks in her hair, eyes turning white and skin becoming marble-like after Innocence. You know, the usual Lightwarden corruption/transformation bullshit. Starts fading in the post-ShB patches.) Has picked up a lot of scars over the course of her adventures, most prominently post-EW a huge scar measuring from collar to navel, thanks to Zenos' scythe. (nsfw visual)
♚ FASHION: If it's low-cut, she'll wear it. Loves both thigh high boots and long skirts. Never seen without a flower in her hair. You can't Xenoglossy if you ain't cute.
♚ DEMEANOUR: Generally cheerful, always competitive. It IS a challenge, and she IS going to win. Normally carries herself with effortless confidence, with an attitude that makes it clear she expects to be acknowledged and obeyed without question. Can be equally often found behaving playfully and curious, particularly with close friends. That being said, her experiences in Eorzea and abroad have not left her unscathed, and she has moments of sobriety and melancholy. Openly struggles with understanding her own emotions, but is working on it.
♚ SOUND: -
♚ SCENT: Warm spiced floral perfume, oiled scale mail and leather, sweet dusty parchment, dried blood, sweat. Beneath that, the faint magical taste of lightning, ozone, and the Void.
♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Incredibly strong mental defenses, expand later. Dare to poke too deep, however, and two protective shadows may rise up to greet you.
♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Extremely powerful black mage, blah blah, expand later. Cannot for the life of her manage to grasp conjury/white magic or any kind of healing, which vexes her, though she refuses to admit it. This is especially funny to anyone familiar with her previous Azem self.

♚ PERSONALITY: intelligent, cunning, loyal, curious, playful, spoiled, expand later. believes she deserves everything because of how amazing she is, but also believes that her loved ones deserve everything because it's her responsibility to provide it for them. top three motivations are attention, aesthetic, spite. will do the impossible purely to be smug about it, and does not shy away from the hard work that comes from extraordinary challenges. loves books and research, loves practical experiments, loves Destroying Shit.
♚ HISTORY: pampered and indulged firstborn heiress to the amell family line in sharlayan, spent more of her early years with nannies and maids than with her parents. upon displaying considerable magical talent as a small child, abducted by a cult convinced that mages one and all were bent on ushering in the Void to overwhelm the world, believing themselves the sole vanguard against this fate by isolating and molding magic users to their ends. quickly zeroed in on the lead cultist as the best person to get on her side, and established herself as a bright and exceptionally powerful young "apprentice," insinuating herself into his good graces as his favored pupil. her privileged position enabled her to skirt the lines of acceptable behavior more securely than other "apprentices," and she managed to avoid most of the abuses common in such a setting. it's very unsurprising that as soon as she felt she had learned all there was to learn from her captors, she slaughtered a dozen of them on her escape to eorzea. rolled up on the thaumaturge's guild because it looked closest to what she'd been raised with, hit black mage, and never looked back. yes this is literally just the dragon age: origins human mage origin. no i don't care if it makes sense.

♚ BACKTAGGING: Yes please!
♚ FOURTHWALLING: In-universe, her adventures are considered famous, so referencing that is fine. She's always willing to show off, lmao. Out-of-universe, probably not.
♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Extremely physically affectionate, as a result of growing up in very close quarters with a fairly large group of equally-captive peers, lacking in modesty, privacy, or any sense of personal space. Her default approach is to be very casual with touch, and the more she considers someone a friend the greater degree of intimate affection she exhibits. With certain people, she knows better than to try, but others, especially close friends, she considers fair game automatically and would need to be asked to stop if anything is unwelcome. Conversely, she's open to being touched casually and affectionately, and expects to be allowed the same level of intimacy in return. Hugging, cuddling, hair stroking, chaste kisses on the face, are all welcome even from platonic relationships.
♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: As a fairly soft and squishy mage, she prefers to stay out of melee range, which means violence against her directly is a sign that something has gone very wrong. Only start something if you want her to use devastating magic to make it stop before it gets out of hand. (If you do want to start a fight with her, let me know and I'll be happy to work that out.) That being said, she has also picked up and mastered both the art of combat dancing and the practice of Dark Knighthood, but her preference will always be black magic, and staying out of the fray.

♚ VISUAL: long iridescent black hair, sunburst pupil in blue eyes, still always has a flower in her hair, which is usually a sunflower or some other kind of bright sunny yellow thing. wears gold patterned makeup bc we're really leaning on the sun theme here.
♚ FASHION: bedazzled her bright gold azem mask. usually has an also bedazzled WHM cane. post-expulsion from the convocation, wears the same style of white robes as venat did.
♚ DEMEANOUR: healer main whose toxic trait is being too busy with dps to heal. dps class is whatever the ancient version of summoner is. calls herself curious, which is true enough but is also equally a cover for just being plain nosy; enjoys being just disrespectful enough to irritate without causing outright offense, claims it makes people show their true selves with less effort on her part; takes suffering extremely seriously unless it's her own, in which case it's fine and just a funny little issue; overly affectionate which has caused Some Problems in the past, sorry not sorry; despite the otherwise flighty behavior, is sharply observant in the material to make up for her lacking in aetherial sight, and is very steadfast in her travels and whatever else she's gotten into her head to pursue.
